The chair i have (hon nucleus) is $430 on amazon and i'm happy with it. i prefer it to the aeron i have at work for example, and it's quite comfortable for all-day sitting. i went to my local office furniture store before i bought it and tried out a couple dozen chairs, if you can do that you might find something you really like.. My chair is the ikea markus. the armrests don't fold away but they are low profile and go under my desk fine. they can also be removed. it's a really durable chair with a high back and a sturdy headrest. i weigh 250 lbs, don't sit down gently, and it has put up with the abuse fine. i've had it since 2009 and haven't looked back..
